If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. Curiosity, interest, dare, adventure, friends or fashion whatever may be the reason which make you want to explore the underwater world, Discover Scuba Diving is for sure “your ticket” to do it.
Within only in a day you will acquire some theoretical knowledge about equipment, environment and diving itself, and you will profoundly enjoy breathing underwater and swimming independently using scuba equipment in confined water of seawater.
What will you learn?
You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you make an open water dive, you’ll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure.

FAQ
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.
Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course. Instructors, divemasters and dive shop staff are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice. Only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.
At your first dive the maximum depth is 6 meters. At your second dive your maximum depth is 12 meters with a direct supervision of a PADI instructor.
The dive location depends on the weather conditions.
This one is tricky to answer because it depends on how quickly you breathe your air. The average time of your first dive is usually from 35 – 45 minutes.
The underwater visibility is excellent most of the days of the year. Approximately 30 – 45 meters.
At the depth where the discovery scuba diving takes place, we meet various species from large or small groups of Mediterranean fishes. Octopuses, cuttlefishes, groupers, sea turtles, sea urchins, sponges, turtles, shrimps, nudibranchs, lionfishes and many more!
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee in the sea that we will meet a specific creature.
No, assuming you have no irregularities in your ears and sinuses. The discomfort is the normal effect of water pressure pressing in on your ear drums. Fortunately, our bodies are designed to adjust for pressure changes in our ears – you just need to learn how. If you have no difficulties adjusting to air pressure during flying, you’ll probably experience no problem learning to adjust to water pressure while diving.
For the depths and times of discover scuba diving you can fly after 12 hours if you participate in just 1 dive and after 18 hours if you participate in 2 dives in a day, according to International diving rules.
Yes. Actually it is a good idea to eat light before a dive. It is not recommended to have a full heavy meal before a dive.
You can bring a towel, a pair of flip flops and your swimsuit. The diving center provides all diving equipment.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any transportation services between local hotels and our diving shop. Guests are required to come to the shop to check-in for their experience.
To reach Seahorse Dive Center, you can take the Metro 2 Red Line to the terminal Elliniko station. Then you can take the bus 171 and alight at Kyprou bus stop. The diving shop is across to the bus stop. Also, at the metro stations are the ticket machines (and ticket staff) where you can purchase your all transport Athena Ticket.
