Since I was young, I loved the water element, which I have devoted countless hours of my childhood as a member of competitive swimming team. A book of a friend was the reason and my love for the sea was the cause … that somehow I found myself participate in a PADI Open Water course, somewhere in the late 90s! So that was my beginning with scuba diving, to which so far I have spent endless hours of my adult life! In 2004 I started traveling to various dive sites around the world, including Egypt, Thailand, Maldives, Malaysia, Borneo, Bali, Komodo islands, Cyprus, Ecuador-Galapagos and Australia. As a natural consequence, I began a collaboration as a columnist, in the diving magazine “Greek Diver”. After that, I went through under hard diving training in open and close circuits and the establishment of Seahorse Dive Center came to close this circle or to put it rather better, to open a new one…

Since, I can remember myself I used to watch Cousteau documentaries, read books and watch movies about the sea. For several years I was committed to free diving, which I finally decide to abandon when I got involved with scuba diving. Due to the fact that my first dives were at “Mecca” of diving, which is the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, then it was just impossible for me stop diving … As the years were passing by, my “relationship” with diving was becoming more “mature” but for preventing a possible deterioration, I found a new passion … the underwater photography and simply stick with it this time! Then diving and photography were combined with traveling around the world, for example Egypt, Thailand, Maldives, Malaysia, Borneo, Bali, Komodo islands, Cyprus, Ecuador-Galapagos and Australia, …, and all these became a way of living!!!

I grew up in a family where diving played a central role in our lives. At the age of just 5, I got my first mask and spent countless hours at the beach snorkeling and exploring the underwater world. At 11, I became certified as a Junior Open Water Diver, and at 14 I took my first trip to Dahab, Egypt, gaining valuable diving experience. In 2018, I decided to pursue diving professionally, with the goal of sharing my love for the sea with others. I believe that diving is not just an activity, but an experience that brings us closer to nature and marine life, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Growing up next to the sea was all I knew, thus getting myself into scuba diving was one of my dreams as a kid. Having experienced the underwater world for the last 35 years, has been a life changing experience which I believe everyone should at least give it a shot. My scuba diving journey started 5 years ago at the exotic place of El Nido at Philippines and it was only natural for me to elevate my knowledge and experience by becoming a professional PADI Divemaster in order to promote the unparalleled beauty of the underwater world and help people get in touch with marine life.
