Starting as one simple family dive center, Seahorse has grown up to a respected PADI Eco Dive Center.
Environmental responsibility has always been at the heart of our dive center, but now as a digital member of Green Fins our role is much more challenging than what it used to be. Green Fins is a non-profit organization that aims to protect marine environment through environmentally friendly guidelines promoting sustainable diving and snorkeling.
Recent days due to detrimental factors like pollution, climatic change, uncontrolled fishery actions, all marine systems are under pressure globally with dramatic consequences regarding environmental conditions.
Eco dive centers offer educational programs for divers, providing opportunities to dive in natural and protected marine environments while promoting ecological awareness and the importance of marine protection!
Seahorse Dive Center, as a PADI Eco Dive Centre is involved with:
☑️ Padi Aware Foundation: This organization focuses mainly on ocean conservation and monitoring of marine ecosystems.
☑️ Dive Against Debris Course: Takes direct “fins on” action for the ocean collecting critical survey data from any or every dive that can be used by marine researchers and policy matters for conservation efforts.
☑️ Adopt the Blue: Offers a vast and growing network of underwater sites to establish marine protected areas.
In conclusion, Seahorse Dive Center as a Padi Eco Dive Center, offers activities that support by all means sustainability in diving tourism and this for us means commitment to preservation.
